Terms & Conditions
Please read our HOUSE RULES and terms and conditions carefully. When you make a booking at Surf Beach Motel, you accept on behalf of your party the terms of these booking conditions and adhering to our House Rules. It is your responsibility to ensure that all of the details on your confirmation documents are correct and to bring to our attention any errors or discrepancies within 24 hours of your booking.
You must be at least 18 years old to make a reservation. To stay at Surf Beach Motel, a person under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Full payment is required before check-in together with a photo ID if requested.
House Rules
• Valid identification + credit card required.
• Full pre-payment required on card 48 hours before arrival.
• All room occupants must be declared on arrival.
• A strict ‘NO PARTY’ policy. Non-paying guests are strictly prohibited.
• Primary guest must be 18 years or over.
• Strictly ‘NO SMOKING’ on the premises – (penalty applies).
• No Pets allowed on the premises. Assistance dogs must be declared on arrival.
• There is a 1.0% surcharge on all credit, debit and Eftpos transactions at our facility.
• Early Check In and Late check out have charges applicable and are subject to availability.
Payment Policy
For all bookings, full payment is required 72 hours* (3 days) before arrival. If payment is not received by the due date, Surf Beach Motel reserves the right to cancel the booking.
Please note when booking through a third-party website, their payment system applies.
We accept Visa Mastercard and AMEX and these cards incur a surcharge of 1.0% for each transaction. All prices are quoted in Australian dollars, per room, per night, and include GST.
CANCELLATION POLICY
• For cancellation policy please refer to fine print or special conditions of booking.
• All OTA cancellation requests must be made directly to booking website or agent.
• For bookings made directly with the property, free cancellation until 72 hours of day of booking. No refund within 72 hours of arrival.
Check-In & Check-Out
The standard check-in time is 2 pm on the day of arrival and the room is to be vacated by 10 am on the day of departure. Early arrivals and late check-outs are at the discretion of Management and must be requested at the time of booking. (Additional Charges Apply)
Smoking Policy
Smoking is strictly prohibited on site and inside any rooms. If there is any evidence of smoking inside rooms, you will be charged an additional $500 for a specialised clean to eliminate odours.
Children
Surf Beach Motel considers children to be between 0 and 17 years old. Please note children must never be left unattended in rooms and must always be supervised by a responsible adult. Please take extra care with children around cars pulling in and out of the property.
Additional Beds
Infants 0-2 years old can stay at no additional charge if they are in their own cot or using existing bedding only. No additional beds will be provided.
If you require additional sheets, these are charged at $10 per sheet per night.
Pets
No pets are permitted.
Personal Belongings
You acknowledge that we do not cover your personal belongings under our insurance policy and, therefore take no responsibility for any loss or damage of the occupant’s personal property left on the premises and agree that you will not make any claim against us for any damages or loss to your personal belongings regardless of how or where the loss or damage occurred.
In the event that you leave an item behind at our property which we locate :
• Any items not claimed after 14 days will be disposed.
• Any items to be returned will require a stamped, self-addressed envelope to be sent to 64 , Burrawan Street, Port Macquarie. N.S.W 2444, Australia.
Travel Insurance
We highly recommend you purchase comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking. We suggest that the policy should include, but not be limited to, the reimbursement of any monies paid in the event the travel is cancelled, loss or damage to personal baggage and loss of money and medical expenses.
Behaviour
Parties or gatherings are strictly prohibited unless prior arrangements have been made with Management. Disturbance to other guests and neighbours, including excessive noise and music, is prohibited and may result in eviction without a refund. If a noise complaint is received a first warning will be given, if a second complaint is received, this will result in immediate eviction with no refund.
All music and noise must be turned down by 8 pm and shut off by 10 pm. We are in a residential area and would ask that you respect our neighbours at all times.
Breakages & Damages
Damages or breakages of furniture or furnishings must be reported to Management immediately. Breakages or damages to the property and all communal or external areas that are caused by any guest and/or a guest’s visitor will be charged and recouped in full from the guest’s credit card or deducted from the guest’s refundable deposit. Excess cleaning required on departure or replacement of items removed from the accommodation will be charged to the guest’s credit card. Furniture, fixtures and fittings are not to be altered or moved between rooms or properties. There will be a charge incurred if the furniture is moved or found in a new location.
Liabilities
You acknowledge that we do not accept liability for any injury, damage, loss, additional expenses, and disruptions due to electrical storms or other acts of God caused directly or indirectly by events, which are beyond our control and agree not to make any claim in relation thereto.
Changes Beyond Our Control
Compensation will not apply if a significant change is made for reasons beyond our control. These include: war, threat of war, riots, civil disturbances, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, epidemics, health risks, changes due to rescheduling or cancellation of flights by an airline or alteration of the airline or aircraft type; closed or congested airports or ports, hurricanes and other actual or potential severe weather conditions, act of government or public authorities or other circumstances amounting to force majeure and/or Acts of God.
Breach of Terms and Conditions
You agree that should you or your guests breach any of the terms and conditions:
You will pay us the total loss or damage that we suffer as a result of that breach and hereby authorise us to debit your credit card or apply your refundable deposit in payment of that loss or damage, and we may evict you and your guests without notice.
Confirming your booking with Surf Beach Motel constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
